A Cognitive Testing Technology
With ample research showing a connection between hearing loss and cognitive decline, it has become clear that we can best serve our patients when we measure potential levels of cognitive decline. We have learned that cognitive testing is often performed too late. However, through early screening, not only can we better address your hearing health, but you can feel confident with the knowledge to take control of your cognitive health.
What are the Benefits of a Cognitive Screening?
- Peace of Mind – Know where you stand cognitively.
- Early Detection – Address and decrease the effects of cognitive decline early on.
- Simple Overall Score – A scientific algorithm automatically calculates a clinical score that’s easy to interpret and understand.
- Quick and Easy – This five- or ten-minute screening is rapid and objective.
The screening takes into account a variety of functions, including visuospatial awareness, attention span, language, memory, delayed recall and abstraction. After completing the screening, you’ll receive a cognitive rating that indicates a specific level of cognitive function. This allows us to make a more educated recommendation about what level of hearing technology will best serve you and your unique lifestyle.
